Welcome / Bienvenue |
Welcome to the CEP Local 506 website! Local 506 is the second largest CEP Local in the Maritimes representing approximately 1000 Craft, Operator Services, and Clerical members working for Bell Aliant Regional Communications.
The Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada is one of Canada's largest unions, representing just about every type of worker from coast to coast. CEP is the largest union in several key sectors of the economy: forestry, oil and gas exploration, telecommunications and the media. The CEP was formed in 1992 through a merger of three smaller unions, and has been growing steadily ever since. Today, we are 120,000 strong.
