It is the policy of CEP Local 506 to award one annual Bursary of $1,200.00 to members in good standing or children/legal wards of members in good standing who are continuing their education beyond high school.

Those eligible are members who have been in good standing for 12 consecutive months and/or children or legal wards of a member who has been in good standing for more than 12 months on August 1st of the year for which the application is made.

The Bursary is for attendance in a minimum two-year program at any university, community college or recognized school of nursing.

Qualified applicants may re-apply annually.  Applications must be on the prescribed form and received by the Secretary-Treasurer of Local 506 no later than July 15th.

The award shall be made in two installments of $600.00 each, one installment upon enrolment and one at mid-term upon receipt of transcript marks.

The successful applicant, alternate and unsuccessful applicants will be notified immediately following the drawing of the award.
