Common Interest Forum Update

Sisters and Brothers:

As you know, we were scheduled to meet with the company July 26 & 27 to explore options to alleviate any impact to members of the company's latest cost cutting initiatives announcement.

Late last week, questions were raised with the National Executive. National President Dave Coles wanted to review the situation with other Officers of the Union before we commenced talks with the company. A conference call of several National Officers and National Representative Chuck Shewfelt for the council has now taken place and we have been given the green light to proceed.

We are meeting with the company today, July 27 at 5:00 pm and most likely will continue into Wednesday.

We know it is stressful waiting for news. We will issue a membership bulletin with an update as soon as possible. We apologize for this unavoidable delay in the proceedings.
